Dig those House shirts out of the back of the closet!
We can't wait to welcome our incoming 2nd Graders into their houses in an induction ceremony this Friday afternoon. (This is NOT an Ultimate House Day---so no crazy hair or costumes for this one; just your house shirt.)

PICKUP PROCEDURES OVERVIEW!
Cartmell Families---Please review the attached graphics for an understanding of our car pickup procedures. We have established clear procedures for student safety and efficient dismissal, and appreciate your patience and understanding as we get students to their vehicles each day.
Important to Know--
*Vehicles MUST HAVE A SCHOOL ISSUED PICKUP TAG to pickup a child in the car line! (Tags are issued and pickup numbers assigned to students EACH YEAR; last year's tag is void.) If you do not have a car tag yet, and plan to pick up your student tomorrow, PLEASE visit the front office ASAP to obtain a new car tag.
*Pickup traffic must enter via FISHER AVE and proceed to the pickup lines in the main parking lot. The Hwy 42 side parking lot is the BUS LOT ONLY and willl be closed to vehicle traffic during our dismissal times.
*Do NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE UNATTENDED in the dismissal line. Remain inside your vehicle as we are dismissing. Students will be escorted by staff and enter at designated locations in the loop.
*DO NOT BLOCK CROSSWALKS when parking! There are multiple CROSSWALKS in the pickup loop, and these are entry points for students. It is imperative to leave these CROSSWALKS accessible and open during dismissal.
*PATIENCE IS ESSENTIAL AND APPRECIATED!
Please FOLLOW STAFF DIRECTIONS for safety and traffic flow. Do NOT attempt to CHANGE LANES or proceed to drive without staff direction. It will certainly take us a few days to familiarize new students and parents with the procedures, but once we get things ironed out, dismissal rolls very smoothly and the loop is cleared most days by 2:55.
OUR TRAFFIC STAFF AND SCHOOL RESOURCES OFFICERS APPRECIATE YOUR ATTENTION TO THESE PROCEDURES FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILDREN!
Please contact the school office at 732-7085 with any questions or concerns regarding pickup procedures.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL PARENT INFO:
Cartmell Panther Families:
Please remember that the first day of school is on Wednesday, August 6. Parents/Legal Guardians are welcome to walk their child to his/her classroom on the first day of school. We want our students to have a positive start to their school year. After the first day of school, families are asked to drop their students off in the pick up/drop off line or send their students on the bus, and we will be sure to get your child safely to class.
Lunch Visitors
After the first day of school, parents/guardians are welcome to eat lunch with their child. 24 hour advance notice is requested to ensure we have adequate seating. Please call the office at 502-732-7085 if you would like to schedule a time to eat lunch with your child.
We can't wait to see those smiling faces tomorrow morning!

Panther families, we need your help to keep vital resources flowing into our schools. Before the new year begins, please take a few moments to complete the Household Income Form. Even though all Carroll County students receive free meals through the Community Eligibility Program, this form is still essential because it determines whether students qualify for free or reduced fees on things like courses and computer use. More importantly, it helps secure critical funding for programs like Title I and the Family Resources Youth Services Center (FRYSC), which supports our students every day. Submitting your form early not only benefits the district, but also saves our FRYSC team valuable time tracking down paperwork later. Thank you for making a difference!
