CARTMELL'S WINTER WEEK DRESS-UP DAYS CONTINUE TUESDAY WITH "UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER DAY"

☃️Tomorrow kicks off Winter Week dress-up days at Cartmell with DRESS LIKE A SNOWMAN or WEAR WHITE theme! ☃️

An afternoon guided reading group in Robin Johnson's class created dioramas that represent a chapter within the book, "The Dragon of the Red Dawn" from the Magic Tree House series. Their finished product will be on display at Cartmell Elementary.

During the holidays, many parents enjoy coming to school to enjoy lunch with their child. The district welcomes parents and guardians into our schools, but we are unable to serve them lunch. Our food services staff only prepares enough food for our students and staff, so it is not prepared to serve additional adult meals. A shortage of food services staff also makes it difficult to serve additional meals. We welcome you to join your child during their lunch period, but please understand lunch will not be available for purchase by adults.

WINTER WEEK DRESS-UP DAYS---Next week, Cartmell will kick-off Winter break with some fun and simple dress-up themes:
Monday: Let it Snow! (wear white or dress like snowman)
Tuesday: Ugly Christmas Sweater
Wednesday: Holiday Hair (festive hat or hair)
Thursday: Merry Merry Morning (pjs or cozy clothes)
Friday: Green House Takeover (wear green)

🧦☃️🧤SOCKS, HATS, and GLOVES COLLECTION---now through Dec 20!
Students can drop off donations at the bus entrance every morning. The homeroom with the most donated items will celebrate with a popsicle party!

🌟CARTMELL FAMILIES--ATTENDANCE ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY IS ESSENTIAL FOR STUDENT SUCCESS ON MAP TESTING. Please help us provide the most successful testing environment for your child by insuring they are at school on time, rested, and ready to do their best on our second round of MAP testing. We can't wait to celebrate the growth of our students!
